Bold, graphic, and unmistakably Cipullo. This signed A. Cipullo 18k gold bird pendant perfectly shows his post-Cartier independent style. It has the same fearless design confidence, now expressed in his own way. The stylized thunderbird shape is crafted in two-tone 18k gold, with rose gold wings and a yellow gold head and body. Its flat, totem-like look helped make Cipullo one of the most important jewelry designers of the 1970s. He created the Cartier Love bracelet in 1969 and spent the next decade showing he had many more ideas. This pendant proves it.
The reverse is signed "A. Cipullo 18k." This piece is wearable, collectible, and truly rare.
