Jewels by Grace is a Los Angeles–based purveyor of unique, one-of-a-kind jewels, specializing in vintage and antique engagement rings — including bespoke pieces showcasing old mine and old European cut diamonds.

Every diamond we sell was pulled from the earth, most over a century ago. Choosing one means no new mining. The metal usually lived a past life too. Anything new we build, we cast in recycled metal whenever possible. That’s not a pledge for the cameras; it’s what happens when your entire inventory has already lived a lifetime before it reaches you.

Grace Lavarro graduated with a degree in journalism. She spent years building a career in entertainment and tech. Then, one afternoon in 2005, she heard Oprah on TV advocating following your bliss. That was her “aha” moment. Her bliss was bling. She’d fallen for antique jewelry years earlier when she tried on her mother-in-law’s old European cut diamond solitaire (14 carats, roughly the size of her thumb). There was no turning back. Years of collecting—and hoarding, with occasional sales to lucky acquaintances—finally became a business when she took Oprah’s advice.

A purist at heart, Grace sources the most beautiful, soulful jewels from around the world—pieces that tell stories. Perfectly imperfect, they’ve lived for decades, fiercely loved by generations. That’s history you keep adding to.

We believe in beauty in all things but only acquire and sell natural, Earth-mined diamonds and gemstones. Every vintage and antique jewel is inspected, vetted, and appraised by a third-party appraiser for your protection and peace of mind. Sizable diamonds, including loose stones, come with GIA certificates. Anything we manufacture is crafted by our production team in Los Angeles. We use recycled metal whenever feasible.
