RARE Vintage Peek-a-boo Watch, by Patek Philippe

There was a time when telling the hour was  personal, before big dials and steel sports watches, people wore “secret” watches—delicate pieces of jewelry that quietly kept time.

In the 1950s, Patek Philippe elevated this idea to art. They crafted hidden-dial watches—sleek gold cuffs or diamond-set pieces—that appeared as bracelets until a tiny lid flipped open to show the signature Patek dial.

Each watch was produced in limited numbers for select clients and made with the same care as Patek’s dress watches. They were playful and understated as has always been the brand identity.

Collectors now refer to them as “peek-a-boo” or “flip-top” watches, and they are among the most charming pieces in Patek’s more subtle history. These watches combine jewelry, engineering, and mid-century style, showing that Patek cared about making every moment feel special  - its the perfect marriage of form and function.

This stunning and rare Patek Philippe watch is a wonderful example of the era, beautifully crafted and just as exquisite as a bracelet as it is a timepiece.  On the wrist, it's simply stunning.  The bracelet is studded with baguette diamonds along the cover, with graduated diamonds along the side.
