This vintage gold medallion features the intricate design of the Aztec calendar—a masterpiece of both artistry and history. The Aztec calendar, or Sun Stone, was carved in the early 16th century and is basically the Mesoamerican version of a smartwatch!   The real one, discovered in 1790 in Mexico City, is over 11 feet wide and weighs more than 20 tons (luckily, this dainty golden rendition is a little easier to wear around your neck!)

Each tiny engraving in the design represents the Aztecs’ sophisticated understanding of astronomy and timekeeping, blending a 365-day agricultural calendar with a 260-day ritual calendar.
