What a cool brooch from the Victorian, full of whimsy and charm! Victorian jewelry is one full of symbolism and hidden messages, as evidenced by the popularity of serpent, crescents, moons, birds and the like. This rather present wishbone brooch is of great quality, made from 15kt gold, and set with an old European cut diamond, a ruby (appears to be unheated) and a blue sapphire (appears to be unheated).
A gorgeous piece of jewelry which would be cool and quirky as-is, but equally fun when converted into a pendant (on a longer chain) or a cuff.
