Retro Diamond & Sapphire Ladies Watch, by Tiffany & Co.

Purchased directly from an estate whose mother purchased the watch from the Tiffany flagship in New York City in the 1940’s - classically and deliciously as Deco as it gets. A square face is sandwiched by a row of diamonds and then sapphires, all set along a woven gold strap. This watch is geometric and elegant and incredibly beautiful as a timepiece and even just a bracelet. It really speaks to the time period from which it comes, plus the color combo of gold, blue and white is unbeatable., with beuatiful blue calibre cut sapphires and white diamonds.

Tiffany made some outstanding ladies’ watches from the 1940s to the 1960s, often working with top Swiss makers and adding their own jewelry-inspired style. This watch shows classic Tiffany elegance, all set in a finely woven 14kt gold bracelet.  The bracelet is a work of art, featuring a unique brick-link pattern that looks structured but feels smooth on the wrist. 

Watches from this era were made in much smaller numbers than Tiffany’s modern pieces, so finding one with original stones, a clean dial, and a sharp bracelet is special.
