Some things are vintage; this necklace is something else. I dare say - this is practically museum-level Hermès from the 1970s, with that iconic ribbon mesh Chaîne d'Ancre design. If you've been hunting for a showstopper to anchor your collection (pun absolutely intended), you can officially stop scrolling.
At a perfectly tailored 16 inches, this collar-length beauty sits proudly at the collarbone, delivering a bold gold moment that feels fresh and timeless.
Unlike the more common polished hardware, each anchor link is woven from flexible, braided 18k marine gold mesh ribbons. The result is a soft, liquid-like shine when it catches the light.
A real collector's dream, as many pieces from this period resulted from famous collaborations with top French ateliers such as Georges Lenfant because it took an extremely high degree of craftsmanship to turn gold into a kind of fabric.
These ribbon mesh versions were produced in small numbers, and it's a real treat to come across one today in such excellent condition.
