The sister clasp was a popular connector in late 19th–early 20th century jewelry. Typically crafted in gold, these clasps were used to connect multiple chains, lockets, or watch chains, allowing women to adapt their jewelry for different occasions. The name “sister clasp” comes from its mirrored, interlocking hooks, which symbolized unity and connection — sometimes gifted between sisters or loved ones. Today, they’re collectible for both their antique craftsmanship and sentimental associations!
