The Victorian Era was a time of beautiful innovation and jewels - it was also a time without plumbing or much consideration for hygiene. So, things were a little….smellier. Ladies would wear vinaigrettes which held pieces of ribbon or cotton, soaked in perfume to replace the smell of the streets with something more pleasant. The pendants are even more pleasant - ours is adorned with turquoise cabochons and sweet floral details.
In these times, she would make for a perfect pill box, a locket, or a vessel for any special memento you wish to carry close to your heart as this would be perfect strung on a thicker chain around the 20-24" length.
