While I'm sure many of us are familiar with watch chains, I've not come across too many of the button version! Straight outta the late 1800's (literally c. 1887), this baby was meant to be worn with the gold button in one's shirt, and the dog clip component would attach to a pocket watch in a nearby pocket.
