.62ct Antique Cushion Cut Diamond Belcher Ring

Belcher rings became popular in the mid-18th century, named after the original designer, Thomas Belcher. A belcher setting is very distinct in that the diamond or gemstone is held by prongs or claws carved into the shank itself.
This ring is a great example of the style, set with a central antique cushion cut diamond. But the most charming part of this ring is the inscription in the inner shank, dated "1936 EBK." 14kt rose gold, size 8, and fully sizable.

Diamond measures 5.6 x 5.25mm.
