We wanted to really amp up the gorgeous elongated shape of this chunky old mine cut so we set her in our "Fairfax" style - with lines borrowed from the Georgia and Victorian-era  collet settings.  We chose to enrobe the diamond in a thin frame, with the prongs coming up to embrace the diamond in place.  Truly vintage-inspired but with sleeker and cleaner design leanings.

The diamond is a charmer - sparkling like mad on the finger and clearly loving its new home.  A match made in heaven.
