Beautiful shape and faceting on this diamond - we truly had to examine it a few times over to confirm whether this was a diamond cut in the antique style, or possibly an old stone that was recut and repolished for reasons we will never know (often to get rid of nicks and chips, sometimes to also achieve better symmetry and overall shape).

While the beautifully symmetric shape points to an antique-style diamond, the diamond's overall faceting is very reminiscent of the hand-cut nature of old cuts.  It has that slightly lumpy, a little off-kilter charm which is truly the heart and appeal of authentically old diamonds.  At any rate, this diamond is a true beauty - with killer specs!
