We were fortunate to be offered a rather sizable parcel of genuine Victorian-era components in their original silver-over-18kt yellow-gold collet settings. And while it's now impossible to put them back together in their original form due to many missing parts, we have been able to rescue a good number of the larger components and have started some rehab on these very old stones (this includes unmounting them, cleaning up the chips and nicks as necessary, and sending to GIA for certification).
This particular one has had the "full treatment" and is now ready to be your new old heirloom jewelry.
This is truly the style and look that so many many designers have been striving to make (including yours truly) and now there is a big number available of original Victorian collets! These are all one of a kind, and there will never be others like it (ever again!).
