Sometimes a beautiful modern cut diamond stops us in our tracks, and makes our antique-loving hearts skip a beat. This hexagonal portrait/rose cut hybrid is a perfect example of exactly that! Set with old stock carre cut rubies, Burma origin with no heat treatment in 18kt yellow gold, we find it to be an absolutely perfect ring. The 1.97ct center stone is much whiter than its graded color (N), and just sings in yellow gold with these juicy red accents on the shoulders. The faceting is broad and shimmery like that of a rose cut, although so big and clear you can see right through them, much like a portrait cut.
This ring feels classic and timeless as it is chic and modern - we love how it spreads across the top of one's finger and shimmers delicately in the light. A beautiful piece to add to one's collection.
