Jewels by Grace is a Los Angeles-based retailer offering unique, one-of-a-kind jewels, specializing in vintage and antique engagement rings, including bespoke rings showcasing old cut diamonds.

Founded by Grace Lavarro, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Jewels by Grace came into being one afternoon over 2005, when Grace had an “aha” moment after hearing Oprah Winfrey on TV advocate following one’s bliss. So after a career in both the entertainment and high tech industries, she had finally found her true bliss – it was bling! She fell in love with antique jewelry after having tried on her mother in law’s massive old European cut diamond solitaire (it was 14cts, and the size of her thumb!). From that point on, there was no turning back. Years and years of collecting and hoarding later (with the occasional sale to acquaintances here and there) she finally decided to follow Oprah’s advice.

A purist at heart, Grace sources the finest, most beautiful and special jewels from sources worldwide – jewels which tell stories and have souls. The jewels and diamonds she offers are perfectly imperfect, after all, they have lived for decades and decades, having been fiercely loved by multiple generations – how does it get any better than that? They are pieces of our history, and ready for all of us to add ours.

Our vintage and antique jewels are inspected, vetted, and appraised by a third-party appraiser for buyers' protection and peace of mind. Sizable diamonds are sold with GIA certificates, including loose gemstones. Jewels we manufacture are crafted by our production team here in Los Angeles, California.
