A bold gold coin pendant inspired by an ancient Roman sestertius, depicting Roma, the female personification of Rome itself. She is shown seated on a shield and holding a small figure of Victory in her outstretched hand, surrounded by the inscription ROMA AETERNA — “Eternal Rome.” It is classic Roman propaganda in miniature: strength, victory, and the idea that Rome would endure forever.
Roma was not simply a goddess, though; she embodied the Roman state. During the Imperial period, her image appeared frequently on coins and monuments, often helmeted and armed, reinforcing Rome’s military power and authority throughout the empire.
