This vintage Cartier LOVE jabot pin shows off the collection’s signature screw motif in yellow gold. First introduced in 1969 by designer Aldo Cipullo, the LOVE collection quickly became one of Cartier’s most iconic designs. Its distinctive, industrial-inspired hardware stands for love and commitment.
Jabot pins originated in the 17th century, serving to secure elaborate lace and ruffled neckwear worn by European aristocracy. By the Art Deco era, these pins evolved into jeweled accessories, typically featuring a slender bar with decorative terminals at each end. Cartier’s interpretation introduces a modern adaptation to this historical accessory. This piece is accompanied by its original red presentation box.
