This brooch is part of Paloma Picasso’s modernist sculptural jewelry designs, introduced in the 1980s–1990s, a period when her bold gold forms and graphic silhouettes defined a new era at Tiffany & Co. Pieces from this time are highly collectible, prized for their strong design language and exceptional craftsmanship.  This partciular brooch, with a diamond "tail" is a rarer form of the brooch as most are in solid gold without diamonds.
