A bold Cartier cross from 1993 in rich 18kt yellow gold, with a square emerald at the center, four pear-shaped rubies, and square-cut sapphires at each end. Clean, graphic lines plus all that saturated color? Peak Cartier opulence.

In the early 90s, Cartier was playing with Byzantine and Russian-inspired designs, pairing strong gold shapes with vivid cabochon and faceted stones, and this cross is a gorgeous example. Bonus points for practicality: the back is fitted so you can wear it as a brooch or a pendant. Collectible AND versatile? Yes, please.
