A bold Cartier cross from 1993, made in rich 18K yellow gold and set with a square emerald at the center, four pear-shaped rubies, and square-cut sapphires at the ends. The geometry is simple and graphic, but the saturated color palette gives it that wonderfully opulent Cartier feel.
The design reflects Cartier’s early-1990s interest in Byzantine and Russian-inspired motifs, pairing strong gold forms with vivid cabochon and faceted gemstones.
