When we initially came across this bracelet, we appreciated the colorful enamel work and the great link for a bracelet. With a bit of research, we came to find out that this bracelet actually pays homage to Colonial Williamsburg: set with the British flag, and three popular taverns that are still standing to this day. The next is a flag with a latin symbol that reads "major agit deus," which translates to God is the more powerful agent/mover/actor - a common phrase used for apothecary signs. The last is emblematic of the Whig political party, which would have been the popular politcal affiliation in colonial times.
We're not quite sure as to how old this particular bracelet is - Colonial Williamsburg came to be in the mid 1600's, but in the 1930's, the city designated Colonial Williamsburg as a historically significant neighborhood to celebrate US history and its' patriots. Based on the style of the link and the clasp on the bracelet, this bracelet is likely from that late Deco era and was made as a souvenir/memento of sorts.
