This vintage gold and tiger’s eye Piaget watch stopped us in our tracks!  

A vintage Piaget Protocole in 18k yellow gold with a 25mm square case, tiger's eye stone dial and matching tiger's eye bezel, quartz movement, Swiss, circa late 1970s–early 1980s. The Protocole is Piaget's definitive dress watch — square, ultra-thin, and conceived from the start as jewelry that happens to tell time. The textured brick-pattern bracelet flows seamlessly into the case, exactly as Piaget intended. What makes this example exceptional is the double tiger's eye treatment: the stone appears both in the dial and in the bezel surround, a rarer configuration than the standard single-stone version. The cabochon sapphire crown is original. 

Piaget pioneered the ornamental stone dial in the 1960s, attracting collectors including Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, and Andy Warhol — and tiger's eye was among the most coveted.
