A RARE vintage Cartier Colisée ring, sculpted in warm 18kt yellow gold with two rounded bands that sweep across each other in a fluid twist. Front and center: an oval cabochon ruby, flanked by two round brilliant diamonds.
Colisée is French for "Colosseum," which makes total sense once you see those bold, rounded, architectural curves. The collection dates to the later 20th century and has since been retired, so these turn up far less often than a Love, Trinity or Panthère. Substantial on the hand, yet so easy to wear. Cartier collectors, this one's for you.
