Another treasure from Elsa Peretti's elusive Chinese Zodiac collection for Tiffany & Co., and this time it's the Ox. Peretti created the series in the late 1970s, smoothing each animal into a soft, sculptural form with no sharp edges, so every one reads like a tiny piece of wearable sculpture.
In 18kt yellow gold, the Ox feels calm and grounded, with a satisfying weight. The zodiac pieces were made in small quantities and have become a cult favorite with Peretti collectors, and the Ox doesn't turn up often. Born in the Year of the Ox (1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997 or 2009)? Steady, loyal and quietly strong sounds about right. Comes with its original box and pouch.
