Elsa Peretti's alphabet pendants are wonderfully personal: each initial is drawn in her own flowing script, soft and just a little abstract, like a tiny piece of wearable sculpture. This "N" glides along in 18kt gold and catches the light with every little movement.
Peretti blurred the line between jewelry and sculpture during her legendary run at Tiffany & Co., which began in the 1970s. Designs like the Open Heart, Bone Cuff, Bean and these alphabet letters have stayed in production for decades (a rare feat in jewelry), and her signed pieces remain some of the most collected designer jewels out there.
