An antique double owl bracelet from about 1880, made of textured gold with woven links that gently wrap around the wrist. The two owl heads face outward, and their bright yellow eyes give the bracelet a lifelike, charming, and whimsical vibe.
Owls were important symbols in Victorian jewelry. They represented wisdom, protection, and watchfulness, and people often wore them as quiet guardians, especially in sentimental or talismanic pieces.
The braided goldwork is pretty special too! This kind of woven chain, sometimes called gas pipe or mesh style, became popular in the late 1800s because it is flexible and almost feels like fabric. It moves smoothly on the wrist and gives the bracelet an easy, worn-in elegance that antique collectors love.
