An antique, two-tone serpent brooch with an emerald head and a diamond-studded body! He’s got a ribbon-like body and fluid form to him which we’re quite fond of. We love it slithering up a lapel, worn as a drop pendant, and sitting in our jewelry box.
Crafted in the 1880–1900 era, the serpent motif was one of the most romantic symbols of the period, tied to ideas of eternal love, devotion, and protection. This brooch sits right in that sweet spot of sentimental history and incredible craftsmanship, with the body shaped into dramatic scrolling loops — the kind you see in Victorian chain sliders — giving the piece movement and a bit of whimsy. Old mine–cut diamonds sparkle along the curves, set in silver over gold (a classic Victorian technique).
