René Boivin was a legendary French jeweler known for bold, artistic designs that broke away from traditional jewelry styles. Founded in the late 19th century, the Boivin jewelry house gained fame not just for its craftsmanship but also for its unique approach—often inspired by nature, architecture, and sculpture. After René’s passing in 1917, his wife, Jeanne Boivin, took over, making history as one of the first female leaders in high jewelry. She brought in talented designers, including Suzanne Belperron, and kept the brand at the forefront of innovation. Boivin’s pieces remain highly sought after for their distinctive, sculptural beauty and timeless appeal.
