This is a genuine antique French scent bottle pendant, just like the ones well-dressed women once wore on their chatelaine jewelry. They would dab perfume from it, and wearing a jeweled gold pendant at the waist was perfectly normal back then.
The body is made of white enamel with hand-scrolled repoussé gold details, and set with rubies and an emerald cabochon. Each stone sits in its own ornate bezel, and the hinged lid opens to a gilded interior, and the original antique perfume stopper is still included (very rare!). It also features lion-paw feet, a baroque pearl drop, and gold link chain hardware that has stayed in great condition for over a century.
This is a rare antique collector's piece that brings together estate jewelry, perfume history, and wearable art. It would be a great addition to any jewelry collection, remaining intact, original, and truly beautiful.
