This Georgian-era rose cut solitaire is an absolute beauty - we don't come across rings in this style too often these days, so we felt incredibly lucky when this one landed in our laps! Originally sourced from the esteemed vintage/antique jeweler to the stars, Neil Lane, the rose cut diamond center is estimated to be about 4-4.5ct in weight. As was the norm in the late 1800's, the stone is foil-backed so as to add depth and "sparkle" to the otherwise shimmery, watery rose cut. It sits low and comfortably to the finger with an impeccable amount of spread. Quintessentially and unmistakably antique, and is simply glorious in its size, rarity and condition.
