A romantic Edwardian brooch, shaped as an open heart and traced with a delicate border of antique diamonds. The heart shape gives the piece a graceful, almost hand-drawn vibe, while the airy openwork construction keeps it light and whimsical!  

Jewelry of the Edwardian era, roughly 1901 to 1915, was known for its refined proportions, lace-like settings and extensive use of diamonds set in white metal. Advances in platinum work allowed jewelers to create finer, lighter designs that appeared to float against the skin or fabric. Heart motifs were especially meaningful, symbolizing love, devotion and remembrance.

Beautiful worn on a lapel, jacket, ribbon or evening dress, this brooch would also make a thoughtful bridal piece—something old, sparkling and full of history.
